Wine By The Glass

RED, WHITE OR ROSÉ? THAT MERLOT OR THE CABERNET? WHY NOT JUST ALL OF THEM?

"Wine by the glass" isn't just reserved for the hospitality industry. At home you can also serve wine to your guests according to their individual preference - or just enjoy the wine you feel like drinking at any time.

With Nanostopper® you can open several different bottles of wine at the same time, while keep the wine fresh in its own bottle until the next session. However, there are some tips and tricks that will help you preserve freshness and flavor for as long as possible. We have listed them for you below.

TIP 1

After each pouring, close the wine bottle with the Nanostopper® and pump the air out immediately. Do not wait until the end of the evening as the oxidation process starts immediately after opening.

TIP 2

Do not store bottles of wine in direct sunlight and not warmer than 21 degrees Celsius.

TIP 3

Do you have a Climate-controlled wine cabinet? Then store the opened bottle in the cooler after serving. If you do not have a wine fridge, then the regular fridge is an excellent option. Also for red wines! Take the bottle out of the fridge long enough before the next session, so that the wine can be brought up to temperature. A rule of thumb: put white wine in the fridge at least 20 minutes before drinking and take red wine out of the fridge at least 20 minutes before drinking.

TIP 4

No upright place in the climate closet or fridge? Then with the Nanostopper® screw cap bottles you can safely store them horizontally.

    FINALLY

Be extra careful with wines sensitive to oxidation, for example:

    • Pinot Noir is one of the types of wine that is most vulnerable to oxidation
    • Wines older than 8 years
    • Organic wine or sulphite-free wine
    • Light red wines, including Grenache, Sangiovese, Zinfandel and Nebbiolo.

    Wine by the glass, anyone?
