The Airtender Wine Aerator PRO has a double-action aeration system: By pumping air through the stainless steel diffuser, millions of microbubbles are created and instantly absorbed by the wine.

The second stage is done by the Vortex Aerator on top of the bottle. Excess wine is caught by the reservoir and flows back into the bottle while being aerated by the vortex flow.

Wine is a natural product and by exposing it to air, it develops its full aroma and flavor. One of the frequently used terms for this process is "to let wine breathe". Usually, this takes anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.

When you aerate wine, you speed up this process, by actively adding air to the wine and forcing it to react with it. The "oxidation" of the wine involves chemical changes in the wine, which bring out the characteristic flavours of the wine, such as fruits and wooden tones. It also makes the wine smoother to drink and reduces the negative effects of sulfites and tannins.

Over the years, tools have been developed to facilitate the aeration process. The most common ones are glass decanting carafes and aerators to pour wine through. Unfortunately, these are vague, not very effective, notoriously difficult to clean and often clumsy or fragile.

Together with the Vortex aerator, the Wine Aerator PRO offers a double action process to aerate every bottle instantly and consistently.

Place the Vortex Aerator on top of the bottle.

Place the stainless steel aerator in the bottle and let it rest on the bottom.

Pump 10-15 times to aerate the wine in the bottle.

Remove the stainless steel aerator from the bottle.

Let the excess wine flow back from the Vortex Aerator into the bottle.

Remove the Vortex Aerator from the bottle and serve the wine.

Clean the Vortex Aerator by rinsing under clean water. Clean the stainless steel aerator by pumping in clean water and pumping dry in a lint-free cloth.
