Is aerating really necessary?
Is aerating really necessary?
Wine is always a matter of personal taste. Some people enjoy drinking wine as-is, and that's just fine if you like that.
However, most wine lovers find that aerating opens it up, improving flavour and arome. Aerating also makes the wine smoother and easier to drink, softening tannins and reducing sulfites, elements that can make wine harsh.
But again, it's up to you. Luckily, Airtender wine aerators are easy to use and work instantly, so you control how much you areate, and can experiment to find your perfect flavour!
How long does the aerating effect last?
How long does the aerating effect last?
The effect of a wine aerator is permanent, so onze you have aerated a glass or bottle, the unlocked flavour and aroma will remain.
Tip: with Airtender Wine Aerators, you can precisely control how much you aerate. Start with one or two "shots" and have a taste, and decide if you want to aerate more. This way, you can enjoy your wine to your specific taste. And serve wine for your guests just the way they like it.
Are the Airtender Aerators dishwasher safe?
Are the Airtender Aerators dishwasher safe?
Almost completely. The stainless steel tube and filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher or rinsed under the tap. The outside of the Air Pump should only be cleaned with a wet cloth.
For owners of a Wine Aerator PRO, the Vortex Aerator (the funnel) is also dishwasher safe.
How do I save leftover wine?
How do I save leftover wine?
Pumping air into wine will enhance aroma and flavour, but the opposite is also true: extracting air from a bottle will preserve the wine and keep it fresh up to 5x longer.
You can easily do this with one of the Airtender Vacuum Wine Saver sets: insert a Nanostopper and pump out the air to enjoy leftover wine any time you want. Shop Airtender Wine Savers here.
